Club soda? I was tempted to teach the bartender how to make one, but did not want to be a jerk. Stuck with G&T’s or Martinis after that, although your RIckards Red was pretty tasty too. Chien is on my radar now…

Yeah, Montreal is not very steeped in cocktail culture and so it takes a little sniffing around to find out where to go. Chien Fumant is awesome, as is Big in Japan (the speakeasy, not the resto of the same name) and LAB.

Only had some Key Limes on hand, which are wicked tart, so I had to add a splash of simple syrup to offset them, with Persian Limes I am sure it would be fine without the syrup.

Actually I just got back from Montreal and was clearly in the wrong places looking for some lively cocktail culture. Just added Le Chien Fumant to a place to visit on my next visit.
