The Five O’Clock Cocktail Blog serves up cocktail recipes five(-ish) days a week at 5 p.m. ET. Many are original creations, some are classic libations, but most fall somewhere in between.
For example, you’ll find lots of cocktail-lounge menu items that have been tweaked to best suit the at-home bartender. You’ll also see plenty of recipes borrowed from the pages of various bartender guidebooks, foodie mags, etc.

I’m just nipping at your coattails by an hour or so….Do you post exactly at 5pm, or within that hour? I started with Facebook first, and that was entirely easy than trying to post on Tumblr every day, but I still like the outcome. Best to you, your blog looks great!

Just came across your blog courtesy of Rhulman.com and I love it. In fact, I sent the esposa out of town this wknd to watch the opening of Breaking Dawn w/ ole’ friends and I fell asleep reading your posts after putting the rug rats down. Woke up at 5am w/ iPad under me and 2 out of 3 said rats cuddled up next to me so I started reading again. I’m bookmarking flippin e’rything so I went ahead and subscribed. I’m currently a student in London and right now I’m doing a huge research project for my dissertation on non-alcoholic cocktails, looking at the experience and fascination of cocktails etc.
I’m also a part time cocktail bartender which is where my interest in alcohol
has come from.
